Interim
A delayed image system that turns presence into an unstable visual memory
Interim creates a temporal gap between a body and its image. What appears on screen is not a live mirror, but a delayed and continuously transformed record of recent presence.
A webcam captures visitors standing before the projection. Their movements enter a generative visual system, where they are held, accumulated and altered through colour and morphological distortion. The projected image remains connected to the body, yet no longer corresponds to its immediate position or form.
The work treats delay as a material condition. In the interval between gesture and return, the visitor encounters a version of themselves that belongs simultaneously to the present and to the recent past. The installation shifts the screen from a surface of recognition to a field of negotiation between physical presence, technological mediation and visual memory.
